Ghost Canyon Fest

“Ball-of-yarn hardcore from the great Kansas City” at first blush may seem like a tossed off compliment, but, as you dig deeper into Abandoncy’s music you begin to see that the yarn is the DNA of a million ideas pulsating through jagged riffs and unpretentious rhythms. Nothing about it is simple, and even the familiar is maybe an illusion. Supposedly “three big nerds in search of the big riff yonder,” further reflection gives the sense that maybe the nerds will inherit the Earth and our national anthem will be any of the tracks that populate their new LP, “Hollow Living.”
