Ghost Canyon Fest

For Amos Helvey, what began as an interest in old-time guitar has gradually become Flaming Tongues Above, a sometimes-solo project and musical fixation like few others. While it may take the timeless sound of a John Fahey-esque re-tuned parlor guitar as its leaping-off point, FTA draws liberally from drone, psych rock, twee pop, and noise to paint a musical canvas that resists genre categorisation. Every Flaming Tongues Above show is a new and different experience, as established songs are continually reworked and reconstructed at the most basic level.
